light.
its one evening spontaneously zooming off to the city with a couple girls so we can sit in a cafe and be reminded how imperfect we are and how safe vulnerability can look
its loving a child
its sitting in the recliner that faces the sleepy sun. eyes closed. just being a human being
its surrender
its coming to wits end. it's been steadily impressive to me how, without God, i have zilch to offer. i'm limp at the feet of Jesus. done with me. desperate for His ways.
it's breathing the reality of how simple it is when acceptance is lived out
its a friend suggesting we share vulnerable letters with each other. so we do
its a saturday morning conversation over coffee with a drop-in friend and that somehow eases darkness and infuses courage into some veins of the soul again.
perhaps friendship is one of the most golden gifts ever given to mankind
its prayers
its supper hour laughter
its sunday school discussion
its faith. the simplicity of faith
light.
i feel it gently dripping into the heart.
a cautious ease.
a friend once said,
''if you see any glimmer of light anywheres, go there. if something just sparked even a tiny bit of joy, go.''
i think we all desire light.
